A site-specific installation near the entrance to the contemporary galleries at the Museum of Sonoma County, in Santa Rosa, California, TRIANGULATE covers 72 square feet, measuring 9" x 200" x 72". Arrayed at the foot of a tall tree, the 1,200 marker flags of TRIANGULATE are on view through May 26, 2024, as part of the exhibition A Question of Balance: Selected Works from Pacific Rim Sculptors.

TRIANGULATE sets in motion a dynamic balancing act between earth and sky, old and new, its industrial material and bright color a counterpoint to the natural landscape.

The vibrant yellow of each sculpture draws our attention back and forth as we enter the parking lot, history on one side, contemporary art on the other.

Nunn’s sculpture and the tree canopy invite us to look up. TRIANGULATE shifts our gaze to the ground beneath our feet.
